Description: Monumental statue of a reclining, bearded river god, with both arms missing, and in the left foreground a young artist seated on a capital and drawing the statue; illustration to Boissard’s Topographia urbis Romae 6 vols (Frankfurt-am-Main, 1597-1602), illustration to part II De Marforii Simulacro about 1597/1602.
