Description: A pigeonnier in a landscape. Francis Edward Bliss was known to have formed the most comprehensive collection of Legros’ prints. The bulk of this collection was bought by the American collector Alfred Wiggin and donated to the Boston Public Library. Harold Wright was a print dealer at P. & D. Colnaghi and Co. and an authority on Legros. He organised the sale to Wiggin.
