Description: The equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius, side view, on white ground; illustration to Boissard’s Topographia urbis Romae 6 vols, (Frankfurt-am-Main, 1597-1602). A faithful copy after Nicolas Beatrizet’s engraving of the same subject from 1548. See British Museum 1852,1116.552.
